FORT WORTH, Texas (March 17, 2026) – South Carolina’s Frankie Harris, Auburn’s Jackson Koivun and TCU’s Nathan Miller have been named the three finalists for the Ben Hogan Award’s February Golfer of the Month accolade.
Harris, a senior from Boca Raton, Fla., was victorious at the Puerto Rico Classic in his lone competition in February. He won the tournament by one shot with a 15-under, 3-round score of 200 (67-67-66). His score established a new career best, and he also tied the school record for career victories (five). The Southeastern Conference Co-Golfer of the Week earned 21.0 WAGR points for his victory and carried a 66.67 scoring average for the month.
Koivun, a junior from Chapel Hill, N.C., won twice during the month. He began with a five-shot victory at the Amer Ari Invitational with a 3-round, 25-under-par score of 191 (62-62-67). He smashed the school’s 54-hole scoring record by seven strokes, and at 20-under after two rounds, he broke the NCAA’s 36-hole record previously held by Tiger Woods. Koivun followed that up with a two-shot win at the Gators Invitational (209, -9) for his school-record seventh career win. For the month, he earned a world-best 45.4 World Amateur Golf Rankings points and had a 66.67 stroke average over six rounds.
Miller, a freshman from Dallas, Texas, shared first place at the Watersound Invitational after rounds of 69-66-66 for a career-best 9-under 201. Following his first collegiate win, he later finished in a 16th-place tie at the Palmas del Mar Collegiate with a score of 213 (-3). Named the Big 12 Golfer of the Week on Feb. 26, he accumulated 21.6 WAGR points during the month. Miller posted a 69.00 scoring average over six rounds.
The Ben Hogan Award Golfer of the Month will be chosen by a selection committee comprised of foundation members from the Ben Hogan Award and Friends of Golf as well from as the award’s selected partners. In addition, a Fan Vote on social media through Wednesday at 10 p.m. (CT) will give the top vote getter on each of the @benhoganaward social media channels (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) a bonus committee vote. The winner will be announced on Friday.
The Ben Hogan Award presented by Baird annually recognizes the top collegiate golfer considering all college, amateur and professional events played over the 12-month period beginning with the 2025 NCAA Championships and running through the 2026 NCAA Regionals. This year the award is celebrating its 25th anniversary in Fort Worth.
