Fang, a junior from Plano, Texas, won The 103th Amateur Championship, becoming the first American winner in 18 years and just the second since 1980. He claimed a 1 up victory in the 36-hole final. Additionally, the WAGR No. 4 player went 2-1-1 in the Arnold Palmer Cup match for Team USA.
Jakubcik, a senior from Holesov, Czech Republic, was the winner of the 38th European Amateur Championship, as he earned a 3-shot victory with a 4-round score of 280. In addition, the world’s seventh-ranked amateur had a 2-1-1 record for the victorious Team International at the Arnold Palmer Cup.
Stout, a junior from Richardson, Texas, was the champion at the Northeast Amateur Invitational by eight strokes with a 9-under score of 267. His second-round score of 61 tied the tournament record. The No. 5-ranked player in the WAGR posted a 2-1-1 record in the Arnold Palmer Cup for Team USA.
The Ben Hogan Award Golfer of the Month will be chosen by a selection committee comprised of foundation members from the Ben Hogan Award and Friends of Golf as well from as the award’s selected partners. In addition, a Fan Vote on social media will give the top vote getter on each of the @benhoganaward social media channels (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) a bonus committee vote. The winner will be announced on Wednesday.
The Ben Hogan Award presented by Baird annually recognizes the top collegiate golfer considering all college, amateur and professional events played over the 12-month period beginning with the 2025 NCAA Championships and running through the 2026 NCAA Regionals.
